I'm Christopher Ward and currently employed with Naval Facilities Mid Atlantic as a Production Controller for the crane certification department.  In my current job I oversee 465 cranes while maintaing a 14 million dollar budget so that all cranes are completed on time. In May I will be graduating ODU with a bachelors degree in Business Managment which I have completed in the last six years while working full time.

  • Analyze / forecast / prioritize / monitor execution of certifications and projects required to maintain 465 cranes throughout the Hampton Roads Region

  • Perform yearly maintenance inspections, alterations as needed and emergency services to all cranes

  •  Disassemble / Reassemble WHE equipment for inpsection required by written instruction

  • Systems that I service and repair are the hydraulic system, mobile crane chassis, electrical system, diesel engines, mechanical brakes, and air brakes, hydraulic brakes, cooling system, check/change all fluids and filters as per the OEM

  • Provide technical assistance to customers

  • Diagnose and repair WHE equipment when malfuction occurs

Amsec, Naval Contractor - Feb. 2002 to Nov. 2006
Master Tradesperson

  • Master Tradesperson duties included complete tear down and rebuild, diagnose and repair forklifts from capacities of 6K to 20K

  • Perform periodic maintenance on WHE equipment

  • Service and repair hydraulic systems, electrical systems, diesel engines, mechanical brakes, and air brakes, hydraulic brakes, cooling systems, check/change all fluids and filters as per the OEM

  • Perform work onboard Naval ships on elevators, vertical package conveyors and doors

  • Diagnose and repair systems and thier compponets

  • Aid in ship checks to inspect and document items that require attention to be within specifications
